POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for oversight and monitoring of IDD regulatory compliance, quality improvement strategies, and service satisfaction measures. Assists with trainings, presentations, and communications with state or federal entities to maintain standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience working in human services and compliance/administration. Electronic medical record experience preferred. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various levels of management staff, providers, and consumers. Knowledge or experience with Kentucky Medicaid waivers preferred.


SKILL SETS: Advanced knowledge of MS -Office, Excel, PowerPoint, clear decision making skills, productive communication, and organization skills. Experience with electronic medical records encouraged. Must be organized, detail oriented and a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS: Visual acuity necessary for completing credentialing documents and an assortment of paperwork. Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching to file records. Hearing and talking necessary to answer phone and talk with employees and other individuals. Work is light with some driving, walking, standing and sitting. Manual dexterity is required to perform word processing, computerized reporting, and other clerical duties.


JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitors agency compliance across the region to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state licensure, contracts, regulations and standards.
  2. Maintains updates and provides recommendations on IDD Policy and Procedures.
  3. Participates with agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities/meetings and accreditation compliance.
  4. Provides training, support, and assistance to IDD staff regarding quality improvement, consumer satisfaction, and compliance requirements.
  5. Works closely with the IDD Medical records, Waiver Coordinators, and IDD Management to ensure compliance and maintain open communication.
  6. Works with IDD Director for state monitoring and Corrective Action Plans.
  7. Participates in IDD executive leadership meetings.
  8. Designs and develops forms in consultation with appropriate managers and directors based on program needs, as applicable.
  9. Provides training and mentoring to staff regarding documentation best practices and regulatory documentation requirements.
  10. Completes IDD audits for compliance monitoring, as needed.
  11. Provide correspondence, memorandums and reports in an accurate and timely
